DEANNA PAULINE STEVENS

Deanna Pauline Stevens, 86, went home in peace to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2024.

Deanna Pauline Snow was born in Hamtramck on Jan. 14, 1938, to Fredrick and Leona (Leatzow) Snow. She married Duane Stevens on Dec. 26, 1959, along with their children, they made their home in Hillman. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1999.

Deanna, her late husband, and family worked together to run their family farm. She worked until retirement for the Hillman Community School District. She was a lifelong member and leader in the 4-H program, along with being an active member of her County Farm Bureau. She was a longtime active member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hillman.

Deanna loved and cherished having memorable holiday and family gatherings. She was an award winning baker, enjoyed feeding the birds, along with having beautiful flowers and plants.

Deanna was a loving mother to three children, DeLise P. (Bob) Stevens-Kudzia, Drew (Karen) Stevens, and Dione (Brian) Oliver. She was a proud grandmother of Wade, Ean, Lenae Kudzia, Tiffany (A.J) Kennard, Chelsea (Taylor) Noffze, Bree, Demi, and Beau Oliver. She also cherished being a great-grandmother to Blayne and Blair Kennard and Mila and Lainey Noffze. Also surviving are sister, Jerilynn Snow-Szydloski; and brother Duane (Nancy) Snow.

Deanna was preceded in death by infant twin daughters Dacey and Deneen Stevens, siblings, Karen Hartwig, Daryl Snow; and brother-in-law, Larry Szydloski.

Deanna’s life was honored with a private family gathering and service at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alpena. Followed by a private family ceremony and interment at Hillman-Rust Cemetery, County Rd, 459, Hillman. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montmorency 4-H or Hospice of Michigan.
