VERNON NELSON MICHAUD

Vernon Nelson Michaud, 89, of Lincoln, passed away on April 3, 2024, at Jamieson Nursing Home.

Vernon was born in Mikado, on April 6, 1934, to the late Alfred and June (Barlow) Michaud. He served in the United States Army. On June 16, 1962, he married Barbara Lixie. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2000. Vern retired from GTE, enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling which he completed in the Grand Marais 500 Miler 10 years running. Vern enjoyed building and spending time with his loving family at his hunting camp.

Surviving are his five children, Scott (Angie) Michaud, Todd (Bill MacMillian) Michaud, Brad (Lori) Michaud, Brian (Kirsten) Michaud, JoLynn Michaud; eight grandchildren, Brittany (Kevin) Frederick, Sydney Michaud, Jacob Michaud, Riane McClarney, Nikolas Michaud, Drew Michaud, Hannah Michaud, Garrett Michaud; two great-grandchildren, Jordyn Thomas, Ronan Frederick; companion of 19 years, Faye Rozanek and her family; and several nieces and nephews.

Vernon was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Michaud.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
