PHYLLIS JEAN KRUGER

Phyllis Jean Kruger, 83, of Lachine passed away on April 1, 2024, at her home.

Phyllis Jean Halverson was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Luverne, Minn. to the late Walter and Clara (Rood) Halverson. On Sept. 3, 1960, she married Robert Kruger. Phyllis was a member of Long Rapids Congregational Church and Ladies Aide. She enjoyed puzzles, board games, sewing, quilting, camping, and traveling.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; three children, Todd (Cindy) Kruger, Dawn McDonald, Debra (Jim) Sucharski; six grandchildren, Ryan (Katelyn) Kruger, Staci (Michael) Becker, Melissa (Mike) McDonald-Reed, Racheal (Trevor) McDonald, Zach Sucharski, Alyson (Travis) Rice; five great-grandchildren, Miles, Theodore, Madison, Brooklyn, Harper; four siblings, Louis Burley, Adela Faugstad, Stanley (Linda) Halverson, Gary (Jean) Halverson; brother-in-law, Jerry Simms; and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steven McDonald; two siblings, Arnold and Margaret; in-laws, Harland Burley and Norm Faugstad.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, April 20, at Long Rapids Congregational Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon with Pastor Dave Bradley officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
