DOROTHY ANN BARLEY

Dorothy Ann Utecht Barley, born Feb. 6, 1939 of Williston, Fla., passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, at Haven Hospice of Chiefland. She was the daughter of the late Florian Utecht and Frances Modrzynski Utecht of Michigan.

On Nov. 18, 1965, she married the love of her life Dorman Jamie Barley. They were married for 58 years, and together they had three children.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, son Kevin, and brother Johnny. She is survived by her husband, her sister Lorraine Szymanski (Gary), brothers Ken (Dede), Ron (Charlotte), and Jim (Lileen), daughters Jennifer (Porky) Strickland and Brenda (Don) Standridge. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lacey (Ryan), Shaina, Justin (Ashley), Jay (Carlee), Jackie, Dakota as well as eight great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Dorothy was a member of and attended mass regularly at Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston. They were very active and involved in their church for over 50 years.

A funeral mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
