DAVID ROBERT GRIGG

David Robert “Puffer” Grigg, 69, of Alpena, formerly of Rogers City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home with his loving wife Connie. He was born on July 16, 1954, in Rogers City, to the late Raymond and Margaret (Daniels) Grigg. He married Constance Maskell on April 19, 1996.

Dave was a proud captain on the Adam E. Cornelius for the American Steamship Company, and he worked there for many years. He loved his job and was a respected member of the maritime community. After suffering a cardiac arrest in 2008, Dave retired from the American Steamship Company.

Dave lived by his wife of 28 years, Connie; his children, Coty Grigg, Grant Grigg, Ashley (Adam) Brege, and Taylor Grigg; his grandchild, Mila Brege; two siblings, Charles (Dailey Doss) Grigg, Mary (Ken) Marton; and sister-in-law, Paula Grigg.

Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond “Ben” Grigg.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday at Bannan Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of family sharing at 3 p.m.
