THOMAS HAROLD ADAMSKI

Thomas Harold Adamski, 94, of Alpena, passed away on March 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born in Ossineke on Sept. 1, 1929, to the late Walter and Effie (Bryza) Adamski. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart for injuries he had. Tom married Dolores Hanson on Aug. 20, 1956. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2016. He worked and retired from National Gypsum. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Knight of Columbus, enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard and traveling. Tom also enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger and watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions.

Surviving are his three children, Nancy Kowalski, Kim (Forrest) Buskirk, Ronald (Shelly) Adamski; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Bauer; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Adamski was preceded in death by granddaughter, Tabitha Kowalski; nine siblings, Leo Adamski, Helen Hawkins, Agnes Skiba, Eva Donakowski, infant Viola, John Adamski, Grace Skiba, Margaret Couture, and Leonard Adamski.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the time of the parish prayer service at 7 p.m., with military honors will be accorded him by VFW Alpena Post 2496 at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.

Interment: St. Catherine Cemetery
