RICHARD J. MOUSSEAU

Richard J. Mousseau, 82, of Alpena, passed away on March 10, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena surrounded by family and friends.

Richard was born May 18, 1941, the oldest of 15 children to the late Iner and Mary Jane Mousseau. He was a lifelong resident of Alpena. On Aug. 29, 1964, he married Norma Jean Kaiser.

He is survived by his son; Bryan Mousseau of Alpena, nine siblings; Imelda (William) Gallagher, Walter (Janet) Mousseau, Daniel Mousseau, Fidelis (Jan) Michel, Carl Mousseau, Roger (Karen) Mousseau, Yvonne Smith, Greg Mousseau, and Dr. Vincent (Kim) Mousseau. He was preceded in death by his wife; Norma Jean “Jeanie” Mousseau, daughter; Laura Mousseau, grandson; Randy Mousseau, siblings; Audrey Mousseau, Ronald Mousseau, Lois Gallagher, Arnold Mousseau, and Susan Mousseau.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday at McWilliams Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with his nephew Pastor Matthew Leavesley officiating.
