JAMES F. PIPER

James F. (Jim) Piper, 94, of Alpena, passed away peacefully Feb. 24, 2024 at Medilodge of Greenview. Jim was born on Feb. 17, 1930 in Alpena to Fran and Mary (Ceglarek) Piper. He married Dolphine (Dolly) Greskowiak on Sept. 11, 1954. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2023.

Jim is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Piper of Alpena and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Walter (Betty) Piper, Jane (Richard) Kapanka, Grace (Harold) Hahn, Phyllis Schultz, and Eunice (Doug) Basel. He was also preceded in death by his sisters in law, Gladys (Leo) Kelsey, Doris Greskowiak, and brother-in-law Ronald Grey.

Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Karpus Hunter and Ross Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
