Michael Girdley, 68, of Alpena passed away on Feb. 7, 2024, at home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Detroit, to the late Oscar and Mary (Brazelton) Girdley. On Aug. 20, 2013, he married Diana Miller. Michael enjoyed playing guitar, photography, and reading.
Surviving are his wife, Diana; two children, Michael (Tiffany) Bakker, Courtney Bakker; two stepchildren, Patrick Miller, Brec (Scott) Lytle; three grandchildren, Christine, Lauren, Jack; great-grandchild, Blaire; and brother-in-law, Leslie Maxon.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
