Wayne Miller, of Holiday, Fla., passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2024.
Wayne was born in Alpena. He was a resident of Michigan until he retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections and then moved to Florida.
Wayne is a U.S. Veteran that served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He had many stories to share of his golfing, fishing, and hunting adventures. Wayne was a person ALWAYS willing to help others. He never met a stranger. Wayne will mostly be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Wayne is survived by his wife; Sandra Miller, son; Steven Miller (Nancy), and daughters; Shannon Nall (Eric), Chari Patrick, and grandchildren; Alicia Miller, Christopher Patrick, Robyn Wooden, Alex Patrick, great-grandchildren; Zackary Williamson, Eladio and Angel Martinez, Bennett and Abigail Wooden, Molly Patrick, brothers; Bruce Miller (Mary), Richard Miller (Maryanna), as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; Erwin and Edna Miller; sister, Sandra Guyott, granddaughter Amanda Vaughn, son-in-law Timothy Patrick.
The family will have a Memorial Service on Feb. 27 in Holiday, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, family ask for memorials to be sent to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in memory of Wayne Miller.
