Veronica Ann Brown, 74, of Alpena passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at her daughter's home.
Veronica Ann Strickland was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Mahlon and Lillian (Crammer) Strickland Jr. On Nov. 21, 1968, she married Rodney Freeman. He preceded her in death in September 1987. She later married Robert Brown on Jan. 30, 1993. He also preceded her in death on March 26, 2011.
Surviving are her daughter, Lauri (Sunni) Baur; son Thomas Freeman; stepchildren, Valerie (Hank) Kasmer, Everett (Lynn) Brown, Gordon (Amy) Brown; stepdaughter-in-law, Twana Brown; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Duane) Snow; brother, Matthew Strickland; several nieces and nephews.
Veronica was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Kyle; great-granddaughter, Dakota; stepson, William Brown; stepdaughter-in-law, Maria Brown; two brothers, Mahlon III and Thomas Strickland.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. and continue Thursday at Alpena Free Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard George officiating.
Interment: Hillman Rust Township Cemetery
