AUSTIN JOE FERGUSON

Austin Joe Ferguson, 24, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, in Muskegon. He was born on Oct. 12, 1999, in Holland to Mark and Susan Ferguson. He graduated from both Alpena High School and Alpena Community College and enjoyed his work as a server.

Austin was a beautiful, loving, generous, adventurous, all-around amazing person. His creativity and love for all of nature and the outdoors showed throughout his house plants, vegetable gardening, feeding the birds; however, his love for his family and friends was first and foremost.

He showed his love in so many ways.

Surviving are his father, Mark Ferguson; mother, Susan Ferguson; five siblings, Jade Skowronek, Ryan Skowronek, Nick (Brandy) Ferguson, Amber (Troy) Vanek, Conner Deneen; grandparents, Mary and Ira “Bud” Ferguson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Geraldine Scheske; grandfather, Donald Schelle; uncle, Joseph Alexander; and cousin, Sarah Alexander.

A private family service will take place. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
