SHIRLEY JEAN RYAN

Shirley Jean Ryan, 93, of Lachine, passed away Dec. 7, 2023, at Medilodge of Hillman.

Shirley Jean Black was born June 28, 1930, in Detroit to the late Cecil and Louise (Richmond) Black. On Nov. 27, 1944, she married the love of her life, William Ryan. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2018. Shirley enjoyed working, gardening, and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Surviving are her four children, William (Margaret) Ryan, Roxie (Thomas) Maczik, Michael (Donna) Ryan, Peggy Ryan; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Carol Kattlemen.

Shirley was preceded in death by her sons, Glen Ryan, Robert Ryan; daughters, Gloria Ryan, Louise Carnovale; two great-grandsons, Johnny, Brysen; siblings, Donald Black, Beverly Hubbard, Gary Black and June Josey.

Visitation will take place Dec. 14, 2023, at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. and continue there Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joe Sereno officiating.
