RONALD T. DAVIES

Jan. 6, 1945 – Dec. 27, 2023

Ronald T. Davies went to be with the Lord on Dec. 27, 2023, in Presque Isle, at the age of 78. Born on Jan. 6, 1945, in Detroit, he was a son to the late Robert and Estelle Davies. Ron’s life was a testament to his resilience, kindness, and unwavering spirit of adventure.

After graduating from high school, Ron joined the Marines and honorably served his country through three tours during the Vietnam War. His bravery and commitment to service were hallmarks of his character, which he carried with him long after his military career. Upon returning home, Ron channeled his discipline and work ethic into a successful career as an electrician. For many years, he was a dedicated employee at Chrysler’s Sterling Heights facility, where his handiwork and problem-solving skills were highly valued, eventually retiring in 2008.

Ron’s heart belonged to his family and the great outdoors. He leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara, who was his partner in all of life’s adventures. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. He was a cherished brother to Robert (Nancy) Davies and Rodney (Jan) Davies. Ron was a proud stepfather to Stacey (David) Hart and Kari Kacarka, who will miss his guidance and support. His legacy will live on through his several nieces and nephews and his adored step-grandson, Tyler Hart, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Known for his kind nature and handy skills, Ron could often be found outdoors, where he was an accomplished trophy hunter. His love for riding his Harley across the country roads was unmatched, and he found great satisfaction in working on projects with his tractor. Ron’s joy was palpable when he spent time in the sun, whether it was tending to his property or simply enjoying the warmth on his face.
