RAYMOND EDWARD MOORE

Raymond Edward Moore, 82, of Alpena passed away Dec. 2, 2023, at his home.

Raymond was born in Flint on May 29, 1941, to the late Chester and Aletha (Tree) Moore. He served in the Peace Corps and later graduated from Alma College and Eastern University of Michigan. He taught for Chesaning Union School for many years. He married Kathleen Miller on Dec. 22, 1990. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, enjoyed playing basketball, golfing, exercising, reading, traveling, and gardening.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Kathy; son, Michael (Stephanie) Moore; two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter; four siblings, Allen (Sally) Moore, Joyce (Vic) Theison, Cheryl (Luke) Bedtelyon, Deana (David) Vibbert; mother-in-law, Dorine Miller; sister-in-law, Pam (Jack) Merriefield; brother-in-law, Steven (Janice) Miller; many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
