JAN LEE AHLGREN

Jan Lee Ahlgren, 68, of Alpena, passed away on Dec. 19, 2023, at home.

Jan Lee Klich was born Sept. 3, 1955, in Saginaw to William and Donna (Findlay) Klich. On July 27, 1974, she married Grant Ahlgren. Jan served as pianist for Word of Life Baptist Church for over two decades, taught piano for numerous years, educating the exploration of music. She also enjoyed cooking and Jan loved her family very much.

Surviving are her husband, Grant; three children, Rachel Copping, April (Don) Barth, Gerard (partner Laura Johnson) Ahlgren; six grandchildren, Madison, Lily, Samuel, Leanna, Lauren, Haley; father, William Klich; two siblings, Kathy Maczik and Bill Klich.

Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Donna and sister Debbie Sobolewski.

Memorial visitation will take place Wednesday at Word of Life Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon with the Rev. Scott Joy officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
