DANIEL FREDRICK SERRE

Daniel Fredrick Serre, 76, of Alpena, passed away on Dec. 19, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Daniel was born on Feb. 2, 1947, in Alpena, to the late Clarence and Kathleen (Klein) Serre. He served in the United States Army. On Nov. 25, 1981, he married Kathleen Chesney. Daniel retired from Verizon in 1997, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy; two sons, Erik (Jodi) Robinette, Brent (Christie) Serre; four grandchildren, Jenna, Grant, Anabel, Addison; two sisters, Patricia Featherston, Judy Dunkle; mother-in-law, Angeline Chesney; brother-in-law, Tony (Julie) Chesney; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Chesney and niece, Abby Chesney.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
