Robert Goren, 92, of Alpena, Michigan, died after sunset on Nov. 27, 2023.
The Funeral will be held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL today, Nov. 30, 2023 at 11 a.m.
Rabbi Daniel Schwartz will officiate.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park, 28120 6 Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, 48152.
The family of Robert Goren will be gathering through this evening, Nov. 30 at the residence of Steven E. and Eva Goren, 32677 Redfern, Franklin, Michigan, 48025 . Family and friends will gather on Thursday from 4-9 p.m.
Family members include:
Beloved husband of the late Dr. Judith Wise Goren. Cherished father of Gary F. (Sherry) Goren, Steven E. (Eva) Goren, and Nancy L. (Stephen) Price. Loving grandfather of Anna Goren, Alexander Goren, Benjamin (Abigail) Goren, Britani Goren, Sullivan Goren, Robert (Stephanie) Goren, Sophia (Justin) Gold, Stephanie Price, and Michael (Vivian) Price. Adored great-grandfather of James Goren, Stella Goren, Delia Gold, and Eloise Gold. Dear uncle of Henry (Elaine) Langberg, Kathe Langberg, Mark (Lois) Langberg, Geoffrey (Alana) Wise, and Susan Wise; brother-in-law of Richard (Diana) Wise; brother of the late Helen (Harold) Langberg.
Robert Goren was a pioneer in the field of personal injury law. He practiced for over 60 years and was liked and respected by his colleagues, opponents, and the judges who knew him. He loved music, played ukulele, and wrote numerous songs. He was an avid tennis player, a world traveler, and a collector of artifacts and rare books. Most importantly, he was a loving and loved family man whose 58 year marriage gave him, at the time of his death, 16 descendants with more sure to come.
