Patricia M. Pokorzynski, 91, of Alpena passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Patricia Marie Suszek was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Alpena to the late Joseph and Joanna (Straka) Suszek. She married Eugene Pokorzynski on June 28, 1952. He preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2015. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved her church family, and was passionate about making people happy. She was employed by Huron Portland Cement Co. as a secretary and retired from Alpena Public Schools as a Librarian. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, President of St. John's Alter Society, Regional for the Daughters of Isabella, and a member of the Rosary Society.
She is survived by three children, Richard (Linda) Pokorzynski, Kathleen (Clifford) Good, and JoAnn (Larry) Dehring; devoted Busia to nine grandchildren, Xavier (Lindsey) Pokorzynski, Phillip Pokorzynski, Ryan (Rebekah) Pokorzynski, Jesse (Brittney) Pokorzynski, Nicole (Andy Albrecht) Curtis, Clifford Good Jr., Sarah Good, Kara (Eric) Kaminski, Erik (Andrea) Dehring; 20 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Ceglarek; several nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Marianne Pokorzynski; son, Randolph Pokorzynski; two brothers, George Suszek and Dennis Suszek.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. with the rosary at 4 p.m. and the parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
Memorials: All Saints of Alpena or Hospice of Michigan.
