Howard Lee Kneeshaw, 95, of Alpena passed away at home on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, embraced by family.
Howard was born on May 6, 1928, in Ossineke to the late Lawrence and Alza (Robillard) Kneeshaw. On Jan. 15, 1955, he married the love of his life, Patricia Lindauer. They were married for 60 years before her passing away on Oct. 17, 2015. Howard loved to golf, play cards, and go to the casino. His other pastime was to watch the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, no matter how good or bad they played. Mr. Kneeshaw was a member of All Saints Parish.
Surviving are his two daughters, Eloise Bischoff, Linda (Kraig) Klimczak; five grandchildren, Sarah (Tyler) Hougaboom, Joshua (Emily) Bischoff, Tyler (Brooke) Bishcoff, Garrett Kneeshaw, Michael (Shawna) Bischoff; six great grandchildren, Colton, Lauren, Benjamin, Karter, Aurora, Rosalee; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kneeshaw, Shirley Kneeshaw; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kneeshaw was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Kneeshaw, Donald Kneeshaw, Leon Kneeshaw; three sisters, Lottie Beaudion, Pearl Gagnon and Shirley Kneeshaw.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at noon with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Military honors will be accorded him following Mass by VFW Alpena Post 2496. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
