THOMAS JAMES IRIMESCU

Thomas James Irimescu, 68, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023. He passed away peacefully while in the presence of his loving wife at his home in Hubbard Lake, Michigan where he lived for four years.

Thomas was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Detroit to George and Phyllis (Brydges) Irimescu. He grew up in Clawson. On Aug. 20, 2000, he married Cynthia Gagnier. He and his wife of 23 years were best friends. Tom was beloved by all who knew him and was a strong Christian who was kind, compassionate, and a beautiful soul. He had a passion for travel and technology.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy; three children, John (Brooke) Irimescu, Yvonne (Chris) Biddle, Joe Irimescu; four granddaughters, Madeleine, Noelle, Marissa, Brooklyn; parents, George and Phyllis Irimescu; siblings, Beth Hall, Bill Irimescu, Jim (Rachel) Irimescu; nephews, Jason, Ethan; and great-niece, Izabella.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. at Thomas’ home and a prayer service at 2 p.m. with Chaplain LeRoy Perrin officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan, MyMichigan Medical Center-Cancer Center, or Friends Together.
