RICHARD (DICK) LEWIS GODIN

Richard (Dick) Lewis Godin, 66, of Lachine, Michigan, died at home on September 29, 2023.
Richard was born in Onaway, Michigan to the late Ronald Godin and Betty Hoeft (Styles) on May 2, 1957. He loved and respected his stepfather, Rudy Hoeft, and was so thankful he was a part of his life.
Richard married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betsy) Timmreck on May 3, 1980. Richard has five children, Jamie Cohoon (Josh), Heather LaMay (Larry), Justin (JR) Godin (Alexanderia), Jennifer Godin (Joe Berg) and Darcie Godin. He was loved by his grandchildren, Libiana, Kadena, Kiera, Kitaira, Hunter, Harleigh, Teagan, MaKenzey, Alex, Alexis, Marshall, Liam and great grandchild, Kayden.
Richard worked for WMCR for 32 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Richard spent many hours hunting, fishing, and telling tales with his best buddies Donnie Obuchowski, brother Cecil, and brothers-in-law, Joe Timmreck and Max Isaacson. These fellas congregated in the garage and stated, "What is said in the garage, stays in the garage".
Richard is survived by his wife, Betsy; his children, grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Brian) Kawzinski, Betty Jo (Roger) Schultz; brothers, Edward, Terry, Alvin (Nicole), Cecil (Janie) Godin; half-brother, William (Katie) Godin; and a stepsister, Charlyn (Doug) Fennell.
Preceding him in death were his three brothers, Chuck, Ronnie Lee, Ronnie Oliver; two sisters, Marion Hoffmeyer, Teresa Watson; and stepsister, Judy Dubois.
Visitation will take place at Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with the Rev. Warren Hoffman officiating. To honor Dick, please wear a white t-shirt and jeans.
