GLYDE JOLINE HOLLINGTON

Glyde Joline Hollington, 93, of Lachine passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.

Glyde Joline Leavy was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Archbold, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Nellie (Jennings) Leavy. On June 12, 1948, she married Richard Hollington. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2001. Glyde loved baking, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. She was affectionately loved for her sharp wit and always being classy.

Surviving are her three children, Richard (Chris) Hollington, Chyleen (Richard) Miller, Thane (Linda) Hollington; seven grandchildren, Michael, Geoffrey, Rebecca, Nicholas, Thane, Hallie, Thane II; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Glyde was preceded in death by two grandsons, Richard Hollington III, Brett Miller; and two sisters, Gayle Greek and Joyce Leavy.

Memorial visitation will take place Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at Spratt United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Nystrom officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
