Dennis Robert Pahlkotter II, 52, of Alpena, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 after a long courageous battle with illness. He was a kind, loving, and giving man whom will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Dennis was born on Aug. 18, 1971 to the late Dennis and Carole (LaLonde) Pahlkotter in Alpena. Dennis was a graduate of Alpena High School where he earned the nickname of “Packer” while playing football. Dennis went on to graduate from Wyotech University where he obtained his degree. He worked several years for General Motors Corp. in technical support. He enjoyed that immensely as it took him all over the United States and Mexico. Dennis worked for several years in technical support for Motorola and John Deere and was also an Over the Road Truck Driver for several companies including National Trucking.

There were many things that Dennis enjoyed in life such as, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and being involved in the sportsmen’s club. But what brought him the most joy was spending time with others, especially his family. Quite often, Dennis could be found traveling, fishing, and spending time with his Aunt Joan Platt. Dennis loved telling stories and sharing experiences with others as well. Dennis loved animals, especially dogs. He was always known to have one by his side throughout his adventures.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Amlotte, Annette (Rod Theriac) Simpson, Michelle Anderson, and LeVon (Jennifer Valincia) Pahlkotter, several nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved fur companion “Bill”

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Dave Amlotte.
