DAVID LEE CONNON

David Lee Connon, 75, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

David was born in Alpena on Aug. 27, 1948, to the late Arthur and Wilma (Deim) Connon. He married Jean Kirchoff on Oct. 21, 1967. Dave worked as a meat cutter for many years before selling industrial oil for Vesco Oil Co. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Alpena and enjoyed deer and duck hunting, bowling and camping.

Surviving are his wife, Jean; three children, Brian (Marcie) Connon, Brenda (James) Aide, Bethany (Michael) Kollien; seven grandchildren, Brandy (James Borowski) Connon, Patrick Connon, Angelica Connon, Dalton Aide, Sasha Aide, Christina Kollien, Tyler (Kelly) Kollien; five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Kathryn Beland, Norman Timm; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Connon was preceded in death by seven siblings, Joseph Beland, Jean King, Shirley Timm, Floyd Connon, Barbara Hansen, Carol Gebaur, William Connon and his faithful companion, Duke.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Alpena from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
