WANDA KRUEGER

Wanda Krueger, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2023 in Alpena. Born in Hillsdale, Michigan on Nov. 24, 1938, to the late Everette and Myrtle (Clingerman) LeVan, Wanda lived a life full of love, laughter, and sassy personality.

On May 5, 1961 Wanda married her beloved husband, the late William Krueger. She is remembered lovingly by her children Larry, Ron (Farrah), and Carla Krueger, her grandchildren Carl, Matthew, Amanda (Dave) Sauls, Tim, Tom (Andrea), Mike, Heather (Phil) Cyr, and Britt Szymanski, and several great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially her close niece Alene (Lloyd) Liske. Wanda was preceded in death by her son David, her grandchildren, Jason and Hollee Krueger, her sisters Vada Kosloski, and Melba Noblit, and her daughter in-law, Janice Krueger.

Wanda’s professional life was rooted in her commitment to the community of Alpena. She worked in the cafeteria for Alpena Public Schools for many years. This position provided her the opportunity to share her love and passion for cooking honest meals for students and faculty. Beyond her professional life, Wanda had a passion for crafts and needlework. She spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to her friends and family. She was known for her cooking, often bringing people together with her delicious meals. Wanda cherished her transition to Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and vibrant community. Above all, the time spent with her family was what Wanda treasured most. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable.

Wanda is at McWilliams Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 pm. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
