STACEY LYNN RAY-REESE

Aug. 26, 1965 – Sept. 15, 2023

Stacey Lynn Ray-Reese, born Aug. 26, 1965 passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 at Munson Medical Center Traverse City.

Stacey was a dear friend, daughter, and mother to those she left behind. She was an adventurous spirit who loved to travel, loved music, and loved time with her family. She worked a majority of her younger years as a Merchant Mariner for the United States Navy as a cook aboard many ships which took her around the world and fulfilled her longing to travel. Once she retired from the ship, you could find Stacey spending time with her grandchildren or watching one of their sporting events or spending a quiet afternoon at home with her fur babies.

Stacey will be missed dearly as she left behind her daughter Autumn (Justin) Madsen from Alpena, Her three grandchildren Keegan, Gracelyn, and Brody Bushey from Alpena, Her mother Lynn Ray of Brownsville Texas, and her sister Robin Cross and nieces of Brownsville Texas. Stacey was preceded in death by her late father Martin Ray of Brownsville, Texas, her aunt Mary Morabito of Alpena Michigan as well as her grandmother Carmella Rivas of Brownsville, Texas.

Nothing can fill the void in your heart when you lose someone special but we can celebrate the time we had with her. A celebration of life will be held at the Maple Ridge Township Hall on Sept. 30, 2023 from 3-6 p.m. for all the people who loved her and called her friend or family to share stories and laughs in honor of her.
