MARY LOU DAVISON

March 4, 1950 – Sept. 17, 2023

Mary Lou Davison, age 95, passed away Sept. 17, 2023 at home with her family by her side. Mary was born in Petoskey, Michigan to parents William and Nora (Dennis) Smith. On March 4, 1950, Mary Lou married Philip A. Davison. They were married for 68 years and raised four children together.

She is survived by her children William Davison (Donna) Midland, Michigan; Sarah Davison-Steward (Dean) Colorado Springs, Colorado; Nancy Davison-Boxwell (Steve), Lago Vista, Texas and James Davison (Michelle), Lapeer, Michigan. She also had seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou grew up in Indian River by Burt Lake where she always found it to be her special place. She moved to Alpena as a young girl with her family but always held a special place in her heart for Indian River.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Nora Smith and her three siblings Glenn Smith, William Smith, Betty Werner.
