JUDITH M. TIMMRECK

Judith M. Timmreck, 83, of Bridgeport, Michigan, formerly of Alpena, Michigan, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at her home.

Daughter of the late Sebert and Harriet (Zirkle) Black, Judith was born March 21, 1940 in Alpena, Michigan. She was married to Frank B. Timmreck, her loving husband of 44 years, on Feb. 22, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. He predeceased her April 27, 2002. Judith was a secretary at Boice Bird & Sons retiring with her husband in 1985. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Judith loved to travel the world, enjoyed swimming and helped the handicapped to swim, the casinos and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving to cherish her memory are one son and one daughter, Tom and Mary Ann Timmreck, Birch Run; Betty Timmreck, Bridgeport; five grandchildren, Erin Williams (Maynard Backofen), Tyler Timmreck, Trevor (Blair) Timmreck, Alexa (Jacob) Deutsch, and Caleigh (Jason) Pogue; one great-grandson, Jax Parker Timmreck; two brothers, Paul (Bonnie) Black, Albert (Maxine) Black; many nieces, nephews and special friends especially Thressa Zolton and Jayne Gilmour. Judith was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Timmreck and a sister, Loretta (Bob) West.

A special thanks to Short Stay Ascension Towne Center, and the doctors, nurses and staff at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital especially Nicole, Andi and Marti.

Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Margo Tafoya, MSSp, will take place at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home, 516 Chisholm St., Alpena, Michigan on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral Service, conducted by Deacon Michael Roy, will take place at 2 p.m. with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Alpena.
