DORIS HATTIE STEPANSKI

May 21, 1931 – Sept. 16, 2023

Doris Hattie Stepanski, 92, of Alpena passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Doris Hattie Seeger was born in Hubbard Lake on May 21, 1931, to the late Adolph and Ottilie (Bartz) Seeger. She married Leonard Stepanski on Nov. 21, 1947. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1990. She worked at Fraser’s for a few years and enjoyed music, gardening and traveling.

Surviving are her two daughters, Lois (Fred) Mather, Debra Werner; six grandsons, Scott (Tawnya) Mather, Steven Mather, Jeff (Jolene) Stepanski, Jason (Jayme) Werner, Ryan Werner, Kyle (Kristin) Werner; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Abagail, Ariel, Caidence, Gracin and Mallory. A special thank you to Angela Knapp, Brenda and Hospice of Michigan.

Mrs. Stepanski was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Stepanski; four siblings, Rose (Ron) Hanson, Ralph (Rita) Seeger, Irene (Art) Patzer and Alfred Seeger.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Deacon Mike Roy officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
