Mr. Bob Jack Paul, 83 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on Sept. 12, 2023, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by his late wife, Beverly.

Bob was born in Atlanta, Michigan to Ernest and Marion (Colby) Paul on Sept. 7, 1940. For nearly all his life he resided in Atlanta. He worked as an insurance agent for 60+ years at EJ Paul Insurance, a business that was first started by his father. He was a member of Tri Township Fire Department for 50+ years and was also a member of the Atlanta Thunder Bay Eagles 4077, The National Wildlife Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, BASS, and The Sportsman’s Club in Grayling, Lewiston, Gaylord, and Alpena. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Bob loved hunting, shooting sport clays, fishing, and playing BINGO. He could always be found at sporting events cheering on his grandsons. He never missed a game. Family was very important to him, and Bob will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his son, Mike (Melissa) Paul of Atlanta; grandchildren, Tanner Sayles of Indian River, and Cullen Paul of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Larry Beauregard of Lewiston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marion Paul; wife, Beverly; brother, Ernest; and sister, Mary Lou.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Bob’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Atlanta Sports Boosters in memory of Bob. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
