Benton Ray Hightower, 59 of St. Petersburg, Florida formerly of Alpena, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, Aug 16, 2023, in Costa Rica.
Born June 30, 1964, to the parents of Henry Benton Hightower and Doris Jean Hightower who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Brent Hightower. Survived by his brother Gordon "Scott" Hightower, sisters-in-law Sara L. Hightower and Tamyra L. Hightower, nieces Angela B. Jones and her family, Ashley B. Roemer and her family, Rachel L. Hightower and nephew Luke B. Hightower. Along with all his other friends that will dearly miss him.
Ben was a 1983 graduate of Alpena High School. He had many successful careers in his life. From working on heavy machinery to building bridges. Of his many careers the one that he enjoyed the most was being a first mate on many different boats.
His love for travel was unparalleled. He was able to travel all over the world having once in a lifetime adventures. No matter where he was in his life he was always there for his family and friends. He will never be forgotten by those who loved him.
