NAOMI BETH KELLER
NAOMI BETH KELLER
June 10, 1927 – Aug. 23, 2023
Gracefully and peacefully, Naomi Beth Keller left this earthly life entering into her eternal home with our Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023. Born to Ralph and Naomi Richel Michaud on June 10, 1927, Naomi Beth was the sixth of eight children. Her siblings Bud, Ruth Flewelling, Gene, Lee, Ted and Patsy Stoppa have preceded her in death.
She Is survived by her brother Terry.
On Oct. 6, 1947 she married Emmet (Dutch) Keller at St. Bernard Catholic Church Rectory with Father James Malone officiating the ceremony. Just short of celebrating 68 years of marriage, Dutch preceded her in death on July 23, 2015.
Beth, as she was known to everyone, worked in her younger years at Alpena General Telephone Company for a short period of time. Later, she became a wonderful homemaker choosing to stay at home raising four young children along with her husband Dutch.
Her surviving children are Linda (Carl) Johnson; Kathy (Ron) Prell, Marc (Rosanne) Keller and John (Brenda) Keller. She is also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Eric, Tracey, Scott, Jeff, Mandi, Amy, Chris, Andy, and Steve and 20 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Molly, Evan, Jordan, Will, Brynn, Sarah, Emily, Elizabeth, Lauren, Bryant, Maya, Madison, Keller, Rosie, Aiden, Olivia, Jagger, Charlie And Cooper.
As her children got older, Beth discovered a calling to the cafeteria in the Alpena Public School System. She immensely enjoyed her years at Hinks School and then at Alpena High School where she remained working there until retirement.
Once retired, she continued her cooking skills at home, always trying to do a good deed for someone. No matter what it was that she baked, whether bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes etc. Her neighbors, friends, relatives and ones she didn’t even know were the recipients of her sweet treats and hard work. She found great joy in giving to others!
She was always up for a good laugh and had the ability to respond with wit and humor as was evident while being a resident of the Davison Family Home. She received the love, compassion and care from Cindi, Theresa, and Karen and the wonderful Hospice Of Michigan caregivers that was immeasurable and the family will be forever grateful.
Her body is at Karpus Hunter and Ross Funeral Home where relatives and friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 from 2 to 8 p.m. With a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. She will lie in state at St. Bernard Catholic Church Aug. 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be given to: Hospice Of Michigan, Friendship Room, All Saints Capital Improvement Fund.
