Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Elinor Ann Krolczyk, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the late morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at the Brittany Manor in Midland, Michigan. Age 87 years. Elinor was born on Feb. 13, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan to the late John and Elenor (Zapczynski) Roznowski. On June 23, 1956 in Manistee, Michigan, Elinor married her loving husband, LeRoy Krolczyk, and he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2005. For numerous decades, Elinor worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Mary’s hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Elinor was a very devoted Catholic. In her younger years, Elinor had a passion for ice skating; she always had dreams of being a professional skater. She had a love of Polka music and dancing. For fun, she enjoyed embroidering, completing crossword puzzles, and especially shopping. With her many joys in life, nothing brought her more happiness than the time she was able to spend with her family.
Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters and one son, Ann Willis of Denver, Colorado, Laura (Steven) Berge of Midland, Michigan, Mary (Craig) Terrian of Canton, Georgia, and Jon (Erin) Krolczyk of Gregory, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Torie (Joe) Rose, Melissa Pardee, Sarah (Chris) Robinson, Emilee McBratnie, Meggan Dyer, Chloe Osterman, Palo Terrian, Zachary and Luke Krolczyk; several great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Marlis) Roznowski; sister-in-law, Willieoma Roznowski; special niece, Kimberly Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elinor is happily reunited with her husband, LeRoy Krolczyk; infant daughter, Kelley; grandson, Adam Pardee; parents, John and Elenor (Zapczynski) Roznowski; siblings, Clarence Roznowski, Julius Roznowski, John (Lillian) Roznowski, Jane Widmayer, and Carl Roznowski.
At the request of Elinor and her family, cremation has taken place and the Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Anthony of Pauda Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd, Saginaw, Michigan, 48601. Celebrating was Rev. Fr. Alberto Vargas. Visitation took place at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital”.
