Amy Lynn Skunda, 45, of Florida, formerly of Alpena passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at Tampa General Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Amy Lynn Srebnik was born on April 27, 1978, to LaVern & Nancy (Orcutt) Srebnik in Alpena, Michigan. She grew up in Lachine, Michigan. Graduated from Alpena High School and then Ferris State University. Then began her long career in insurance claims. She moved to Tampa, Florida where she made her home with Patrick Skunda and their beloved fur baby Lola Jane (Toots). On Sept. 11, 2010, she married Patrick Skunda.

Amy was fun-loving and kind with a bright smile that could light up a room. Always finding good in people and a gift for making everyone feel like the most important person in the room. A love for putting in long hours to make special occasions spectacular for family and friends. She had a fond love for anything competitive, organizing, and most of all shopping. Most of all she loved her nieces and nephews. The sun rose and set upon them.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Patrick; parents, LaVern and Nancy Srebnik of Alpena; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Tom Nowakowski of Alpena; mother and father-in-law, Don and Ann Skunda of Durand, Michigan; sister-in-law, Sarah (Rick) Krause of West Bloomfield, Michigan; very special “Chillin’s” (nephews and nieces) Logan, Olivia, Lucy and Levi Nowakowski and Ethan Krause, Florida family Lauren and Jason Sato, Godson Dylan, Brandon & Juliette Sato, Kristina, Sean and Caeton Barber, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gerald and Elaine (Ganske) Orcutt.

Memorial visitation for Amy will be at Bannan Funeral Home, Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. and continue at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. James Erickson officiating.

Amy will join her grandparents at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Maple Ridge.
