Teresa Diane Anderson, 62, of Ossineke, a proud veteran of the USAF, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at home following an extended illness.

Teresa was born Nov. 3, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa to the late John and Fern (Rozell) Marshall. She grew up in Anthon, Iowa with her foster parents Merrill and Hope Friedrichs. She graduated from Anthon-Oto High School in 1979 and at 18 years old enlisted in the 185th Air National Guard. While in the guard she attended and graduated from Western Iowa College nursing program in 1983. She then went on to enlist in the USAF and was stationed at Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena, Michigan as a medical instructor. She retired in 2010 after 31 years of service. Teresa valued this service highly and retained the rank of SMSGT. As part of her service, she graduated as an NCO and Senior NCO from the academy Supervisory Development Course as well as many different courses throughout her career receiving numerous decorations and medals to advance her career as a superintendent. Teresa was a fun-loving person with a big heart who loved animals and enjoyed reading, landscaping, and sewing.

Teresa is survived by two sons; Joshua and Brandon Anderson, two sisters; Tina LaForce, and Tammy Williams, her foster mother; Hope Friedrich’s, and her loving partner; William Brilinski. She was preceded in death by her brother; John Marshall, and her foster father; Fern Rozell.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at McWilliams Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. with military honors accorded by the VFW Post 2496 and the US Air Force.
