RICHARD WOLGAST

Richard Wolgast, 64, of Alpena, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.

Richard was born in Rogers City on May 19, 1959 to the late Adolph and Joanna Wolgast. He married his soulmate, Gloria Garfield on Oct. 12, 1991. She preceded him in death on Oct 16, 2021. They spent 30 happy years together and raised their two children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodwork. Rich was an incredible man, hard worker, loving husband, dad and papa, dependable brother and loyal friend.

He is survived by son, Steve Garfield (Jessica), daughter, Melanie Garfield (Paul Leonard); grandchildren, Tiffanie, Tyler, Kaedyn, Aidan, Kash, Knoxlyn; siblings, Adolph Jr., Steve, Sally, Dave and Mike.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
