JOSEPH ARTHUR BELKO

Dec. 27, 1958 – June 17, 2023

Joseph Arthur Belko Jr., 64, was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023 surrounded by his family in Chandler, Arizona. Joe was a kind, intelligent, analytical man with a captivating sense of humor.

Joe was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on Dec. 27, 1958. He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1976. He went on to get his Bachelor and Master degrees in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1980 and the University of Washington in 1982, respectively. During his 30-year career as a Semiconductor Process Engineer, Joe worked for IBM, Motorola, and Intel. Joe was a well-respected engineer who truly enjoyed his work, retiring in 2015.

Joe enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Karie, and daughter, Sara; his sister Jeanne (Scott) Kehl of Pine, Arizona; his in-laws Glenn (Bonnie) Howe of Alpena, Michigan, David (Christina) Howe of Pinckney, Michigan, Linda (Charles) Janeski of St. Johns, Michigan, Katie Belko of Monroe Township, New Jersey; twenty loving nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Harry and Daisy. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Joseph Sr., and his brother, Robert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan.org) in Joe’s name.
