HOWARD ‘JACK’ VAUGHN NEVIN

Howard ‘Jack’ Vaughn Nevin, 89, passed away at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, California on July 29, 2018.

Howard was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 29, 1929 to the late Howard and Florence (Funk) Nevin. He was united in marriage with the former Sally Ann Matzke on June 23, 1951 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alpena. Howard enjoyed fishing, working on cars and gardening.

Howard is survived by his son, David (Sandra) Nevins of Ft Worth, Texas, and his daughter Susan (Ron) Krawczak of Bradenton, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally, on Aug 19, 1963, his son Allen on Mar 11, 1987 and his sister, Myrtlemae Allin in 2005.

Howard’s body was donated to Research for Life in Phoenix, Arizona for use in scientific studies.
