Robert John Beuter Jr., "Bob", passed away peacefully on June 14, 2023, in Alpena. Born on March 30, 1944, in Detroit, Bob was the loving son of the late Robert Sr. and Doris (Underwood) Beuter.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Sandra, and their children, Rob Beuter, Dawn (Todd) Schmiedeknecht, Robin Tackaberry, Michelle Tackaberry, Chris Beuter, and Michelle Beuter. He was a proud and loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his cherished grandson, Jeremy. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Beuter and Chuck (Judy) Beuter, and his sister, Judy Davis (Gary Nowak), and many nieces and nephews.
Bob dedicated many years of his life to serving as a maintenance supervisor for the Presque Isle Harbor Association, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to the community. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In addition to his professional career, Bob volunteered his time and talents at the E. Grand Lake Fire Department, where he was a valued member of the team.
Bob had a passion for classic cars, and he could often be found tinkering on his latest project in the garage. His love for cars was matched only by his love for the water, as he spent countless hours boating and enjoying time on the lake with his family. He was known for his kind and loving nature, always making time for those he held dear.
In his leisure time, Bob enjoyed spending quality time with his family, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Bob has been taken for cremation with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the E. Grand Lake Fire Department. Arrangements have been entrusted with McWilliams Funeral Home.
