REGINA M. TARATUTA

Sept. 4, 1932 – June 20, 2023

Regina M. Taratuta, 90, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Regina Mary Bruski was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Posen to the late Frank and Cecelia (Buza) Bruski. On Aug. 2, 1952, she married Aloysius Taratuta. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2014. Regina had a strong Catholic faith, loved to paint, danced every day, and adored her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and outside activities, gardening, water activities, cross country skiing, and golf. Regina was an excellent cook and avid baker, especially Polish dishes.

Surviving are her four sons, Alan (Deborah) Taratuta, Dale (Cindy) Taratuta, Neil (Lil) Taratuta, Tom (Jenny) Taratuta; nine grandchildren, Amber, Kevin, Steven, Daniel, Sean, Andrea, Nicholas, Julia, Trenton; four great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche (Ervin) Mulka; sisters-in-law, Delores Bruski and Annette (Mike) LaMarre.

Regina was preceded in death by brothers, Alphonse, Florian, Arthur, Louis, Bernard, Frank, Anthony, Casimir, Aloysius; sisters, Dorothy Kowalski, Alice Bruski, and Helen Gryniewicz.

Visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continue Monday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Lingaur officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints School.
