TERRY LEE QUICK

Terry Lee Quick passed away May 4, 2023, at the age of 73 in his Ossineke home, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Bay City, Michigan, Terry was the son of the late George Quick and Audrey Grove.

He met the love of his life, Diane Kindt in Alpena while working at the Grove. The two spent the next 37 years together raising their family and enjoying life. Terry and Diane have spent the last 9 years raising their grandson Kyle, who will always be Terry’s “little buddy” and biggest fan.

Terry spent his early years working on potato farms in Kawkawlin, MI before enlisting in the US Army. He was a celebrated War Veteran and was proud to tell stories about his time in Vietnam. On March 31, 2023, hospice of Michigan honored him with a pinning as a Vietnam Veteran. When friends would ask Terry what his biggest memory was during the war, he would tell them “When I was bit by a monkey”. Terry was also a General Motors retiree, and a mason by trade.

Outside of his family and work, Terry enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, building anything he could with his hands, and spending time with friends and family. Terry and Diane also enjoyed spontaneous day trips north to the casino or just hunting for nature’s treasures to craft with.

Surviving are his wife Diane, his children Angela Clark (Ken), Rachel Floyd (Mike), Tera Szeliga (Martin), Michelle Lewandowski (Bill), Kristen Lewandowski (Adam), Kyle Quick, and Kyle Gavin Quick (adopted), and 12 grandchildren, sisters Sandy Jacob and Patricia Lutren, sisters in law Kathy Kindt, Karen Rensberry Carl (Tom), and Donna Salziger (Jeff), and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law Donald and Marilyn Kindt, brothers in law Larry Jacob and Milton Lutren and his granddaughter Micheala.

A celebration of life for Terry will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
