TERRI LYNNE KONECKI

Terri Lynne Konecki, a loving and faith-filled woman, passed away on May 26, 2023, in Alpena, Michigan. Born on Aug. 8, 1955, in Harrison Township, Michigan, Terri was the daughter of Orrin and Ruth (Dinsmore) McConnell. Terri is survived by her father, Orrin; her son, Keith Konecki; sister-in-law, Karen McConnell; niece, Nicole McConnell; nephew, Scott (Alicia) McConnell; great nieces, Fern and Lilly; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was especially close to her cousin and special friend, Darcie McConnell. Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth, and her brother, Brent. Terri spent much of her life working as a medical transporter, a job that allowed her to combine her love for people and her desire to help those in need. Terri was a woman of many talents and interests, as evidenced by her love for crafts of all types. She enjoyed creating beautiful and unique pieces that brought joy to those who received them. Her artistic nature extended to her love for antiquing, where she spent countless hours searching for treasures to add to her collections of Russian dolls, antique eggs, and glassware.

A lover of the outdoors, Terri found great pleasure in spending time outside, surrounded by nature’s beauty. She had a particular fondness for lilacs, which she often incorporated into her crafts and home decor. Her love for the outdoors was not just limited to plants; Terri was a true animal lover, especially when it came to dogs. Over the years, she rescued many canines, providing them with loving homes and a second chance at life. Terri’s thoughtfulness and generosity were evident in all aspects of her life, from her relationships with family and friends to her work and hobbies.

She was a caring and nurturing mother to her son, Keith, and a loving and supportive presence in the lives of her extended family. Her faith played a significant role in Terri’s life, guiding her actions and providing her with a sense of purpose. She was a woman of strong convictions, and her faith-filled outlook served as an inspiration to those who knew her.

Terri is at McWilliams Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastors Gary and Michelle Smith officiating.
