JAMES COURTNEY MILLARD

James was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Alpena to the late Ernest and Naomi (Soper) Millard. On Oct. 14, 2006, he married Lori Barton. James had various jobs over the years. He graduated from Alpena High School in 1973 and worked the last eight years at Meijer, Inc.

Surviving are his wife, Lori; son, Jesse (Laura) Goodchild; granddaughters, Madison and Stella; step children, Amanda Pieczynski, Megan (Ken) Clemons, Adam Pieczynski; siblings, Aaron (Kimberly) Millard, Roy Millard, Brian (Mary) Millard, Robin Millard, and Kimberly Millard.

James was preceded in death by siblings, infant Randy, infant Edward; brother, Kevin Millard; and sister, Dawn Millard.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Lighthouse Baptist Church-Alpena from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor James Wapplehorst officiating. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
