ANDREW JOSEPH KOLSON

Andrew was born in Detroit on Sept. 11, 1930, to the late Andrew and Helen (Jedrzejczek) Kolson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On Aug. 25, 1956, he married Elizabeth St. Onge. She preceded him in death on Nov. 10, 2011. Andy worked at Fletcher Paper Mill until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Alpena Elks, and Alpena Boosters Club. He will be remembered the most for being a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are two children, Patti (Eddie) Braden, James (Katherine) Kolson; four grandchildren, Rebecca (Adam) Roberts, Sara (Zach) Pivec, Jamie (Curt) Dubie, Patrick (Sara) Kolson; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Spigelmyre.

Mr. Kolson was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Alexis Ludwig and Francis Pivec.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
