Surviving are his wife, Laura to whom he was married for 76 years; daughter, Sandra Light; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bey; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Thomas (Kristin), Christine (Bob); two great-grandchildren, three great-great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 2 p.m. 6 p.m. with military honors accorded him by Alpena VFW Post 2496 at 5 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John William officiating. Full obituary will be published Saturday.
