LORI ANN LUDWIG
Lori Ann Ludwig, 68, of Alpena passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, after a brief illness. Lori was born on March 30, 1955, to the late Floyd and Caroline (Weine) Ludwig. She graduated from Alpena High School in 1973 and from Central Michigan University in 1977. She worked at K-Mart for 30 years and retired in 2015 as a dental receptionist. Lori was a life-long devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was also active in many church work groups. She was chair of their Christmas bazaar for 16 years. She loved to can, especially Christmas pickles and specialty jams.
Surviving are her sisters, Janis Ludwig, Carol (Steve) Eubanks, Beth (Bob) Moore; brother, Paul (Joan) Ludwig; nieces, Jennie (Greg) Furtaw, LeeAnn (Travis) Niebala, Katelynn (David) Schneider, nephew and Godchild, Keenan Moore; and Godchild Alyssa Dahn. Lori is also survived by special friends; Andrea, Esther, Marge, Delynn, MaryAnn and many more too numerous to mention.
Lori was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Ludwig and nephew, Joseph Baneck.
Memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
