DELORES M. STEVENS

Delores M. Stevens was born in Herron on Feb. 1, 1936, to the late Bethel and De Netta (Schultz) Smith. She married George Stevens on February 1980. He preceded her in death later that year. Delores loved her grandchildren and spending time together.

Surviving are five children, Rickie (Esther) Kindt, Larry Kindt, Tamyra (Gary) DeCaire, Dennis (Annette) Kindt, Allen (Mary Beth) Kindt; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; six siblings, Leland Smith, Phyllis (Keith) Summers, Bethel (Victoria) Smith, II, Dixie (Lew) Winters, Darlene Cardwell, Kevin (Beverly) Smith; sisters-in-laws, Shirley Smith, Krisha Smith, Diane Smith; brother-in-law, Ron Hobby; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by nine siblings, James Smith, Willis Smith, Lela Goldbeck, Betty Skiba, Donald Smith, Dwayne Smith, Jerry Smith, Charles Smith, and Karen Hobby.

Memorial visitation will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Alpena Friday, April 28, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. John Shipman officiating. According to Delores’ wishes her body has been donated to the University of Michigan. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
