Ronald K. Abbe
Ronald K. Abbe, 87, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on March 19, 2023. He was born in Hillman, Michigan on July 21, 1935 to the late Leon & Lillian (Nee Klein) Abbe. He has been a longtime resident of Inverness, Florida. He was Catholic by faith.
Ron worked at the Abitibi-Price for 38 years. He retired in 1997. For many years, Cork and Ron were snowbirds. They traveled from Michigan every fall and lived in Florida for the winter, and then they would return to Michigan in the spring. Ron enjoyed anything and everything outdoors. He loved to golf, camp, fish, and hunt. After his stroke in March of 2020, he was confined to a wheelchair, and his greatest hobby changed to watching the squirrels and birds out of his living room window.
Mr. Abbe is survived by his wife, Roberta “Corky” (Nee Cronk) Abbe, three sons; Leon and his wife Kim, Albert, and Karl; grandchildren; Jammie Frank and her husband Greg, Jenavee Abbe, Joel Rhodes and his wife Ashley, Brooke Lopossay and her husband JW; 10 great-grandchildren, and his sisters; Leona Stoddard and Janis Harmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild Daisy and his sister Jean.
