PATRICK FRANCIS JACQUES

Patrick was born in Alpena on Feb. 16, 1947, to the late John and Thelma (Boucher) Jacques. He attended and graduated from Alcona High School and later Central Michigan University. He taught school for Alpena Public Schools for 37 years until his retirement in 2006. While teaching he directed 37 high school plays. He was involved in both Thunder Bay Theatre and Alpena Civic Theatre, the Ruffed Grouse Society, Duck’s Unlimited, PK Fletcher Gun Club, Wolf Ridge Hunting Club and enjoyed just being in the out of doors.

Surviving are his wife, Raleigh; two daughters, Elizabeth (Jennifer Johnson) Jacques, Catherine (Paul) Chaplin, four grandchildren, Jane Schmanski, Jack Schmanski, Christian Chaplin and Claudia Chaplin.

Mr. Jacques was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Jacques.

Visitation will take place on Thursday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Lingaur officiating.

Interment: St. Anne Cemetery – Harrisville
